Following the upheaval of 2020, we have decided to do things a little differently next year with our workshops calendar.
Due to maintaining a strict COVID-safe environment for students, workshops will take a maximum of THREE students at any one time, in a semi-outdoor area in a beautiful garden setting.
Rather than offering pre-determined dates for workshops, we are inviting you to choose the workshop of your choice from the Workshop Menu, and then contact us to book your preferred date.
Workshops are available to book Thurday - Saturday most weeks, and if you bring a friend or two you an enjoy a 10% discount off your booking fee. Unless otherwise arranged, workshops run from 10am until 3pm, and are for up to three students, to allow for individualised tuition.
The new Workshop bookings format will commence January 11, 2021 - but you can book in advance for next year now if you like :) Gift Vouchers are also available on classes - so if you have a loved one who would enjoy a workshop as a Christmas or birthday gift, please get in touch!
WORKSHOP MENU
INTRODUCTION TO SILVERSMITHING
Learn the basics of silversmithing in a relaxed, country setting here in Tyalgum, northern NSW. During the course of the day you will become familiar with the fundamental tools of the trade, learn how to cut, saw, anneal, solder, texture and finish two sterling silver stacking rings, which will be yours to keep!
$175 tuition fee, includes all use of tools and materials.
You will also receive a comprehensive Course Notes pdf upon completion of the day.
BOHO DANGLE EARRINGS
Fine-tune your silversmithing skills with this level 2 workshop!
During this design-based workshop, you will learn how to make a template for your earrings, cut out shapes, stamp patterns and motifs, hammer domes and curved shapes, as well as drill holes and create hooks for earrings. You will have the opportunity to personalise your earrings and come up with your own designs, from a selection of tools and hammers available in the studio.
Learn how to create a template, pattern make and basic shaping, as well as fine-tuning your sawing and finishing skills in this comprehensive, one-day workshop.
Students must have completed an Introduction to Silversmithing Workshop to be eligible to attend Silversmithing II.
$185 tuition fee, includes materials.
BEZEL SETTING MASTERCLASS
Learn how to set a cabochon stone into a pendant or ring!
Learn how to set a cabochon [flat-back] stone into a ring or a pendant, in this comprehensive, one-day Masterclass.
Students must have completed the Introduction to Silversmithing course to be eligible to attend this Workshop. All tools and materials will be provided on the day.
$275 tuition fee, includes all materials used. You will be provided with extensive course notes following the masterclass.
SPINNER RING
Create your own spinner ring - the possibilities are endless with these incredibly versatile and gorgeous pieces. A spinner ring is a wider band ring, with thinner stacking rings on top, that are magically secured in place and spin around. Also known as meditation rings, traditional to Israeli jewellery.
$225 includes all materials.
CUFF BRACELET
Cuff bracelets are real power-pieces! Easy to craft yet incredibly effective jewellery items. Cuffs can have a range of finishes to personalise - stamped, hammered, matte brushed to name a few.
You can choose which width of cuff you would prefer, workshops priced accordingly.
